Awards Success for Sausage Week!

We kicked off a busy festive season this week with success in the UK Sausage Week competition, winning three individual product awards and securing the regional Runners-Up award for the whole of the South West.

We received plaudits for our Cornish Pork Chipolatas (Traditional Category: Runner Up), Pork & Garlic Sausages (Innovative Category: Runner Up), and Cracked Back Pepper Sausages (Innovative Category: Highly Commended).

We also achieved 3rd place in the sought-after regional award; we were beaten to 1st and 2nd places by butchers from Wiltshire and Somerset respectively.

The awards mark the beginning of a week of events to ‘celebrate the Great British Banger’, but for us they also kick-start the count-down to Christmas.

The Sausage Week Awards are great for raising the profile of British Pork – something which is really important right now with a lot of uncertainty affecting food production.
