Addington Breakfasts

March 27th, 2017 in category Blog

Taking place during national Breakfast Week, these events raise money for farming families in need through donations of produce, skills and time.

Our local breakfast took place at Ponsanooth Village Hall on 7th March. We helped put on a hearty spread, with donations of bacon, sausages and hogs pudding, and Sally was able to attend herself.

The profits (£1,186) will be split between Addington and R.A.B.I (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution).

R.A.B.I supports farming families in need, offering grants, support and equipment for all kinds of situations.

The Addington Fund was originally created in response to the Foot and Mouth Crisis – today it continues to assist farmers by providing appropriate housing when individuals or families have to leave their homes – either for retirement or because of financial pressure.

The proceeds from this well-attended event will go towards providing rural housing for farming families in need – a very good cause which we are proud to support.
